Triceratops

Triceratops means “three-horned face.”​ They lived during the Late Cretaceous period about 68 million years ago.​ Triceratops nipped at low-growing plants with its beak and cut them with its 800 little teeth.

Skulls of the Triceratops are assumed to be the largest among all land animals and in some cases, these skulls were estimated to be the size of almost one-third of the animal.​ It is assumed that over their lifespan, Triceratops could have grown over 800 teeth!

Brachiosaurus was one of the tallest of all dinosaurs. The name Brachiosaurus means “arm lizard” in Latin.​ The Brachiosaurus was a high browsing herbivore and ate foliage at the top of tree canopies. ​They lived during the Late Jurassic period, between 153 and 154 million years ago in North America.​

Ankylosaurus

The Ankylosaurus was as impenetrable and tough as a modern tank!​ They had a clublike tail made of seven bones fused together into a hard and heavy mass.​ Ankylosaurus were herbivores feeding on low-growing plants and shrubs. It was slow-moving and relied on the bony plates covering its body for protection.

Amargasaurus

The name Amargasaurus means “bitter lizard.”​ Even though the Amargasaurus could weight 2.6 tons, it was still small for a sauropod dinosaur.​ Amargasaurus lived during the Early Cretaceous Period, between 129.4 and 122.46 million years ago.​
